How do I reset my password for my login?

As an employee of an EmPower HR client, we know that having access to your payroll and benefits related information via our portal is important. To request a password reset, you can use the link on the portal page and follow the prompts on screen:

If you have issues or need help please email HRIS@empowerhr.com. Once the password or log in has been reset, you will receive an email with your new information to the email address listed in your record. 

How can I reprint my W-2?

When logged in to the portal, on the left-hand side, under Payroll Information select W-2 Reprint. Select the year of the W-2 you wish to reprint and click Go. You will then be given the option to open or save the document.

How can I reprint my check stub?

Purchasing or refinancing a home? Getting a loan for a new car? There are many reasons why you might need to reprint your check stub. The good news is you can do this via our online portal any time you choose! Just follow the steps below:

Once logged into the online portal, go to Payroll Information > Check History. If your historic data does not populate on the screen, select the correct year from the dropdown list.

Click on the Pay Date link to view details of your paycheck

To retrieve a copy of your check stub, click the Reprint Check Stub button.


What is a PEO?

A PEO or Professional Employer Organization solves problems in the areas of human resources, risk management, employee benefits and payroll administration.

Through a PEO, the employees of small businesses gain access to Fortune 500-level benefits such as: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short and long term disability, access to a 401(k)plan and other benefits they might not typically receive as employees of a small company.

The value a PEO adds to a business owner is increased profitability, maximized productivity, reduced time spent on transactional HR, reduced liability and ultimately lower labor costs.

What is shared employment?

Under the PEO Platform, you, as the Client and EmPower HR enter into a shared employment agreement. Shared employment involves a contractual sharing of employer responsibilities. The visual below helps explain how this relationship works:

EmPower HR contractually shares liability, manages payroll and benefits administration and ensures employer compliance. As the client, you continue to manage the day-to-day responsibilities of your employees.
